Serious, professional, and carefully crafted appraisals of finished jewellery items, loose diamonds, and loose gemstones.

Ishy Jewellery & Gemmology has experience performing appraisals using Retail Replacement Value for insurance security and replacement; Fair Market Value for donation; Probate value for estate settlement.

All of our appraisals include an image of the jewellery item.

Identification & Verification Services

Verification of reports, such as other appraisals
Verification of gemstone identification, including whether stones are natural, synthetic, or treated
Verification of size and/or quality of stones
Identification and verification services include a letter written to you which includes all pertinent information for your records.

Administrative Support

We are now offering freelance administrative support to jewellers including clerical support, bookkeeping, industry-specific advice, and marketing.

Education

Chantel Gushue offers a course in gemmology ever fall semester at NSCAD University: JWLY 3010. Students enrolled in this course are eligible to challenge the Canadian Gemmological Association’s Preliminary Year Theory exams. This is an exciting opportunity for budding gemmologists from the Maritime provinces to begin their studies in gemmology without having to leave the East Coast.
